Sylvia Richardson

Volunteer Artist

I was first introduced to Southbank Mosaics through supporting a group of Six Formers from The Charter School. I have a background in horticulture, theatre, fine art and special educational needs.

I have lived and worked in Lambeth all my life, as a teenager I worked for Lambeth council. As part of the arboricultural team I planted some of the London Plane Trees just outside the front of the church and along the Southbank and St. Thomas Hospital. I have developed a real passion for mosaics; it's a very therapeutic art form. At Southbank Mosaics I can escape the stresses of the busy life.
