I first began making mosaics in 1998, when I was fortunate to be offered the opportunity to assist mosaic artist Martin Cheek in my hometown, Broadstairs, over the summer months after leaving school. I worked on various private and public commissions with Martin and other assistants over the next 3 years, from which I learned a great deal and came to appreciate the complexities and the beauty of mosaic.

I came to Southbank Mosaics as a volunteer in November 2007 when I moved to London to study Psychology. I’ve had the pleasure of working on pieces for public spaces, like the Blake project and the fountain in St. Mary’s Garden by Lambeth Bridge.

I see coming to Southbank Mosaics as my creative outlet. I find making mosaics therapeutic and I love spending time in the studio and helping to make London more beautiful.
