"I started as a volunteer at Southbank Mosaics in November 2009 and joined the artists' team in January 2011. I enjoy working in such a creative and diverse environment where people from all sorts of backgrounds exchange ideas and work together, to create something beautiful. People come to the studio for many different reasons: to have a break from the hectic everyday life, to develop their abilities and skills, to try something new. All of them are given the opportunity to express themselves in an open, inspiring environment, change their view on the city, the public space and sometimes their own life. I think that is what makes this place very special and I feel very lucky to be part of it."
