"Art has always been a large part of my life - from school, art foundation, through to a degree and career in graphic design. But I've never done mosaic work before now. I started volunteering at the studio in Easter 2010, and enjoyed it so much they haven't been able to get rid of me since. The studio is terrific and a creative haven for me; to go and make some art, have a chat and meet new people. I love the fact that the work is out there, and that others can enjoy it for free. I now volunteer as a mosaic artist, and I also look after the studio's graphic design, marketing and gallery needs. I'm in the process of updating the gallery space through the year."
